What Is Muscle Building?

Aromatherapy comes from oils extracted from plants or trees. Some examples of these are chamomile, jasmine, lavender, sandalwood, and ylang-ylang. These are packaged in small bottles and adding a few drops to warm water or using scented candles has a wonderful effect on a person.

But what makes aromatherapy baths so effective? The key to this is the various scents, which enter through the nose and then send signals to the brain. It gives a certain high to the person which makes the person feel happy and refreshed.

This really makes an aromatherapy bath different as the smell of the soap or shampoo used can never be compared to what the oils have to offer. After being in the tub for fifteen to fifteen minutes, the person can get up and then take a shower to wash everything away.

The great thing about this new de-stressing trend is that aromatherapy baths can be taken at home. It saves a few dollars instead of going to the spa, especially since various oils can be bought online or in stores.

Sometimes, instead of using just one scent, it is possible to mix a few drops together to create something that has a stronger effect.

A good example that will help relieve body aches and pains is some masseurs mix 20 drops of lavender oil, 10 drops each of rosemary and blackberry, and 5 drops each of peppermint and cypress oil to relieve pain. Mix the oil.

Another good idea is to add 20 drops of geranium, 10 drops of bergamot, and 5 drops each of ylang-ylang, frankincense, and cedar wood to warm water. This too should be mixed by massaging the oil again before adding it.

In addition to oils and candles, some have also tried using bath salts that will dissolve in water. One can also play soft music in the background which turns the bathroom into a miniature spa.

Before trying anything, it would be a good idea to check whether the person is allergic to any of the oils used. Sometimes it takes some experimentation mixing one scent with another to be able to enjoy the experience. The person may discover something new which has never been tried before till now.

One should know that aromatherapy is not a solution for a person suffering from any serious illness. However, studies have shown that it can help improve or even strengthen the immune system.

So the next time a person feels stressed, instead of taking some medicine, perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea to lay in the tub to finally be able to recharge all those batteries and get ready for another day at the office.
